House of Bricks is the manufacturing facility for 3 Little Pigs located in Wilkes Barre, PA.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Food Processing Trainee will gain a broad set of knowledge, skills, and experience in the areas of food production, including safety protocols, equipment operation, and quality control processes to transition into a seasoned Processing Supervisor position within the organization.
COMPENSATION:
$18.00 to $20.00 per hour
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Learning: Assisting in learning the processes, procedures, and techniques involved in production supervision under the guidance of experienced supervisors/managers.
· Training: Participating in formal training programs designed to develop skills in areas such as team leadership, production management, safety protocols, and quality control.
· Shadowing: Observing and shadowing experienced production supervisors to understand their responsibilities, decision-making processes, and interactions with team members.
· Hands-on Experience: Gaining hands-on experience by assisting with various tasks within the production environment, such as scheduling, inventory management, operate and maintain Food Processing equipment safely, sanitation standards, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
· Communication: Developing communication skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues (quality, R&D, warehouse, maintenance, and production).
· Leadership: Learning to lead and motivate a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
· Continuous Improvement: Contributing ideas and suggestions for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
· Compliance: Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards related to production operations.
· Progress Evaluation: Participating in performance evaluations and feedback sessions to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and set development goals.
· Potential for continued advancement stemming from outstanding skills and creativity, with opportunities potentially arising to participate in recipe development and innovation endeavors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience in manufacturing, assembly line, or factory environment is a plus.

JOB DETAILS:
This role is a regular employee, full-time hourly position that is normally scheduled:
· 1st Shift- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Overtime work may be required based on the needs of the business.
(Overtime pay is 1.5 x the base rate for all hours worked over 40 within a work week.)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Manufacturing environment: Majority of work is completed in a refrigerated factory floor/warehouse environment with exposure to loud levels of noise in a well-lit, well-ventilated, and fast paced environment. Continuously required to stand, walk, hear and/or respond to verbal/audio cues, see and/or respond to visual cues, perform repetitive motions of entire body, and adjust product with hands and/or hand tools. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is often exposed to moderate levels of cold and/or heat.
