Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) is a world-class, state-of-the-art motorsports and events venue located in Grantsville, Utah. The 511-acre facility, nestled in Tooele Valley. Considered the finest and most diverse motorsports facility in North America we are YOUR MOTORSPORTS PLAYGROUND.
Racing surfaces include:
  • 4.5-mile multi-configurational road racing track
  • 0.9-mile karting facility
  • 8-acre Rock Crawling Course7-acre skid pad
  • 22-acre high-speed Off Road Short Course

The Food and Beverage Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the guest experience at UMC. This position focuses on delivering hospitality as it relates to food, beverage, alcohol, concessions, vendors. In this role it will be vital to ensure guests leave with a memorable experience and a positive impression of our venue.
Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution:
  • Oversee the procurement and management of Food and Beverage vendors, ensuring high-quality products and services
  • Develop and implement alcohol management policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and promoting responsible drinking practices
  • Create and maintain inventory of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options
  • Design and customize menus that align with client preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Train and supervise staff to uphold high standards of hospitality and service excellence
  • Manage timely staging logistics related to catering set up and breakdown
  • Oversee all bar stations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and serving of alcohol
  • Coordinate all order planning for a variety of events, including but not limited to:
  1. Track Days
  2. Race Days
  3. Corporate Functions
  4. Private Gatherings
  5. Car Shows
  6. Festivals
  • Manage multiple budgets
  • Adhere to timelines, and event schedules, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Manage and participate in the setup, operation, and breakdown of facilities on event days
  • Collaborate in advance with accounting for all POS / cash box needs for all events
  • Proactively resolve any issues that arise, maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
Vendor and Supplier Coordination:
  • Manage weekly orders with all suppliers for event needs
  • Negotiate contracts and confirm with Executive Team
  • Present and actively receiving all deliveries of products to then ensure delivery is made to right location and product order is counted and confirmed
  • Oversee setup and breakdown of hospitality areas for all events
  • Manage the CRM program for all vendors and ensure documents are accurate and current
  • Manage vendor staging for all events and day to day public activities
  • Ensure vendors are following UMC policies as they pertain to supplier contracts
Team Collaboration:
  • Update all softwares needed with department tasks and staging needs
  • Keep CRM opportunities accurate with documents and changes to the opportunity
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate streamlined processes
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management, contributing to the continuous improvement of department success
Marketing and Promotion:
  • Collborate with suppliers in the development of promotional materials
  • Communicate with the marketing team to maximize product sales
Qualifications:
  • 1 year minimum experience in the hospitality industry (server, host, cook, etc)
  • 1 year minimum bartending experience
  • Current Sips and Tips and Food Handlers Certified
  • ServSafe Manager Certified within the first 30 days of employment
  • Alcohol Manager Certified with DABS within the first 30 days of employment
  • Extensive knowledge of beverages and mixology
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment dealing with last minute changes and solving problems efficiently
  • Computer skills and understanding of POS systems
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry trends and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays as aligned with event schedule
  • Ability to stand long periods of time and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Position is 100% on site – with minimal flexibility for remote or hybrid
  • Must be willing to work in all different weather conditions
