We are a very small floral boutique specializing in "the special" for 19 years now. I think that anyone who has been in this industry for at least 5 years knows how challenging, demanding, and yet rewarding this line of work can be. I think it's also fair to say that the pay isn't spectacular, and in many cases not even for the employers. Another fair assessment is that even if you love what you do, the workplace vibes can be creatively restricting, limited, and perhaps even competitive with other staff members that should otherwise be working as a team. To be honest, we as Floral Designers do what we do because we LOVE it! I believe the secret sauce that keeps us in this field is the deep and fulfilling satisfaction of the "creative" process. We fuel our souls with the gratification that each piece bestows smiles, joy, and recognition. We love the continued amazement of how many varieties of flowers and plants the earth produces. We love and understand that the learning process is never ending, which allows us to become better designers further strengthening the passion in what we do. We love connecting with the customers and being apart of each and every story they share. And, if you find the right fit with the right people we love working together! Combining forces really allows the creative process as a team to flourish. We are a very different shop, but are always professional. We are laid back/down to earth/no nonsense people, who listen to cool music. Our work ethic and commitment reign supreme, and we LOVE what we do. We have one to two dogs here at any given time (animal lovers). We stock imported flowers/high-end flowers only, and we approach floral design as an art form. As the owner, I am looking for 1 very kind/talented Floral Designer who loves what they do, and wants to find a team to expand their passion with. I am considering 1 assistant who has a good amount of knowledge in the industry from past floral experience to help engage the customers. And, what I am offering is a place to work comfortably, and creatively in. If you are still looking for your floral family home away from home than this could very well be your last stop. I have so much more to add about how we roll, and questions are encouraged. Serious inquiries only.
