General Description:
The ideal candidate for this position will be familiar with flooring, underlayments, floor preparation products and the flooring marketplace, including the companies and products available in this space. The ability to provide technical instructions for system recommendations and product application is highly desirable.
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for all sales activities for floor preparation products including: prospecting, qualifying, specifications, Architect/Specifier support, product training, project/sales tracking, communicating, closing, supporting and more. The Territory Sales Representative is required to deliver a professional presentation to customers offering solutions for flooring and uphold the ideals and standards of our company. The Territory Sales Representative will strive to meet company sales goals and exceed customer service expectations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales
- Service & support of new and existing customers
- Interface with Manufacturing and customer service on customer needs
- Driving adoption of product specifications, supporting architect/specifier community
- Public presentations, Tradeshow participation/company representation
- Provide timely, accurate competitive pricing on all quotes striving to maintain maximum profit margins.
- Develop excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Project development/support/tracking through Specifier/GC/Contractor/Sale
- All other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Required
- 3-5 years of previous sales experience demonstrating consistent growth and account development.
- Experience in the flooring, underlayment industry.
- The ability to develop the regional sales strategy and execute objectives and seize sales opportunities.
- Proficiency in email, word, etc.
Educational Requirements:
Required
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
