What You’ll Do:
The Fleet Manager oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of the company's light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. The position is responsible for internal and external policy compliance and overall performance. The Fleet Manager oversees acquisition, disposition, maintenance, fuel, title & registration, tolls, safety, and risk.
Responsibilities:
- The Fleet Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining Fleet Policy and Governance.
- The Fleet Manager will lead the implementation and ongoing management of a centralized database for all critical fleet-related data, define Division expectations to maintain database integrity and provide direction for data management associated with pre-and post-database management.
- The Fleet Manager will coordinate with Divisions to ensure a high level of driver support, including but not limited to new driver orientation, accountability for data integrity, management of enterprise driver communications, backup for driver support, and issue resolution.
- The Fleet Manager will be responsible for defining minimum standard specifications for the vehicle(s) to perform the job by role, maintaining the annual fleet letter used to communicate the fleet order process, and building the annual vehicle order template.
- The Fleet Manager will collaborate with Strategic Sourcing on vehicle acquisition solutions.
- The Fleet Manager will define service expectations for the Division Driver Support activities, the vehicle acquisition process, and management of the vehicle pre- and post-delivery and paperwork (title and plate) process.
- The Fleet Manager will then be responsible for the development of a strategy for secure and organized title storage & management for Vulcan.
- The Fleet Manager will coordinate developing a license and registration support strategy to ensure ongoing requirements are met at all locations.
Skills You’ll Need:
Education. Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field; or equivalent experience in the field.
Experience. Successful, 3-5 year track record within relevant fleet management or related field. 1+ years dealing with regulatory compliance is also essential for success.
