Purpose:
- The position will ensure timely response to vehicle/driver needs and monitor compliance of vehicle and trailer fleet. Focus on technology as a tool to improve downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
- The position will be tasked to improve fleet safety and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Position will administer driver coaching program using telematics.
- Monitor fleet activity and cost to decrease spending on repairs and maintenance and ensure all processes are completed in a timely manner with records maintained.
- Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the vehicle fleet program including being primary point of contact for processes, procedures and policies related to trucks and trailers.
- This position is responsible for supporting all regions with vehicle management including orders, upfit, maintenance, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Primary repair contact; must liase with ARI call center mechanics, repair vendors, drivers and management for vehicle maintenance approvals.
- Annual and quarterly forecasting, order preparation and upfit of new and replacement fleet and fit-for-purpose vehicles.
- Assist investigation of Motor Vehicle Accidents and preparation of subsequent reports.
- Supervise installation and removal of GPS units from fleet vehicles.
- Create monthly reports consolidate analytical findings in MS office applications.
- Hours of Service auditing and reporting.
- Interact daily with drivers regarding vehicle repairs/usage.
- Coordinate vehicle purchase with dealerships and/or fleet leasing company.
- Vehicle assignment utilization reporting and database upkeep.
- Communicate monthly driver coaching feedback and reporting.
- Responsible for Driver Qualification process and compliance, new hire paperwork
- Monthly, quarterly and annual mileage reporting, mileage entry auditing, IFTA filings
- Tracking of moving violations - MVR's
- Administrate the fuel card program to include auditing for cost savings/abuse
- Responsible for vehicle registrations for all vehicles and trailers.
- Responsible for all data entry to fleet information databases.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Base knowledge of vehicle repair schedule and mechanical troubleshooting
- Base knowledge of Commercial Motor Vehicle regulations.
- Web-based systems and database interface/management.
- High School Diploma/GED is required Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Oil and gas experience is a plus.
- Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to analyze data for trends, identify issues, and present in a concise manner.
- Organized and detail-oriented are a must.
- Must be able to multi-task and set appropriate priorities to meet deadlines
- Occasional regional travel up to 10% of time.
Training Requirements:
- Hours of service course.
- DOT training as required
Work Environments:
- Office environment, occasional time maybe spent in field/warehouse meeting with personnel.
- 80% of time spent on computer. 20% -30% of time spent problem solving/communicating with personnel.
