Primary Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate charter boats for fishing trips & bear viewing
- Lead and guide fishing excursions, catering to clients of various skill levels and interests.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of local fish species, habitats, and fishing techniques to enhance the overall experience.
- Assist clients with baiting, casting, and reeling in catches, offering guidance and tips for a successful fishing adventure.
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the charter boat regulations and emergency procedures.
- Foster a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for clients, ensuring a memorable fishing experience.
- Communicate effectively with clients, addressing inquiries, providing fishing reports, and ensuring high-level customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed of local fishing trends, weather conditions, and other factors affecting fishing success.
- Perform other work-related duties as required.
Required Experience MUST HAVE OR DEAL BREAKER
- USCG 6 Pack Captain License required
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Enrollment and successful completion of drug tests through drug consortium (We will provide membership)
- Clear Marine Insurance Loss History (5 years)
- Previous experience as a Boat Captain
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot boat systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate with owner and staff
- Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Schedule
- 8-10 hour shifts
- Supplemental pay: tips
Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate boats in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure the safety of passengers and crew members on board
- Manage and supervise the activities of the boat crew
- Rig and maintain boat equipment and systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boats
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers
- Follow all maritime regulations and safety procedures

Pay: $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
