Charter Boat Captain/Fishing Guide

Majestic Expeditions is located in Gustavus - 40 miles west of Juneau and the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park. We provide guests with a truly rewarding experience in Alaska's frontier. The serene surroundings, beautiful accommodations, and old-fashioned hospitality is like nowhere else you'll find in Alaska! With more than 24 years of experience, we specialize in deep sea and freshwater sport fishing in the Icy Straits and Cross Sound.

Responsibilities:

• Take groups up to 5 guests sport fishing in the Icy Straits and Cross Sound Alaska on our 30' Koffler sport fishing vessel. Target fish are Halibut, trolling for Salmon, and Rock Fish.
• Every 100-hour, pull the vessel and complete: oil and fuel filter change, pressure wash hull, and deep clean vessel inside and out.
• Maintain fishing gear/equipment daily.
• Must have extensive knowledge in Navigation, fishing, and sightseeing in near coastal waters using GPS, plotter, radar, and sonar.
• Have experience or knowledge with light mechanical, maintenance, and repair boat and equipment.
• Daily deep-sea fishing charters (some river fishing knowledge), whale watching, and wildlife viewing.
• Must have excellent people skills in communication, entertaining, and is a team player.

Requirements:

• US Merchant Mariner Credential Master of 25 Tons or more.
• OUPV – Operator upon or near coastal waters 100 miles or more.
• Current First Aid / CPR.
• Comply with drug screening.
• Must also be able to communicate effectively with our guests, including teaching beginner and seasoned anglers.
• Work as a team with other Majestic Expeditions Captain/guide, and staff.

Pay: From $325.00 per day

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
