SalaryOverview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Firefighter/Paramedics. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency medical services and firefighting support to our community. This is a physically demanding and rewarding position that requires quick thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls for medical assistance, fires, accidents, and other incidents
- Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate medical care
- Administer CPR, first aid, and basic life support as needed
- Transport patients to medical facilities using commercial driving skills
- Operate firefighting equipment and perform fire suppression activities
- Conduct inspections of fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment
- Participate in training exercises and drills to maintain readiness
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, treatments provided, and equipment usage
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification as a Paramedic
- Completion of a Fire Academy or equivalent firefighting training program
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Proficiency in assessing vital signs and providing medical care
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment used in firefighting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
