Firefighter (Paramedic/Hazardous Material Technician)

You will serve as a Firefighter (Paramedic/Hazardous Materials Technician) in the NAVY FIRE & EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT of NAS PENSACOLA.Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Controlling and extinguishing fires by operating fire equipment (hoses, ladders, hydrants, etc.); Operating various medical equipment (EKG machine, AED machine, etc.) to provide advanced life support; Providing emergency assistance (medical aid, first aid, HAZMAT, etc.) in accordance with safety standards and regulations; and Leading a crew of firefighters (i.e. directing drills, constructing reports, assigning work, etc.).
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications:
Firefighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, Driver Operator ARFF and Pumper, HazMat Technician, National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (NREMT-P) These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
