Summary/Objective: The Fabricator performs all tasks involved in the fabrication and assembly of the company’s products. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure workflow is as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Functions
- Fabrication of products manufactured by Semcor
- Requires skills in welding, experience with trailer building, able to think on your feet, and make well thought out decisions
- Requires knowledge of use of hand tools and power tools to fabricate and assemble products
- Read prints and perform work as assigned by department supervisor
- Not required but favorable: experience with Ercolina roller, experience with a manual solid stock bender, experience with hydraulics, experience with wiring
- Give feedback to promote working in a collaborative environment
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb ladders, operate power tools, forklifts, or overhead cranes, and use hands for fabrication or assembly of products. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and be on your feet for 8 hours each day.
