Financial Systems Manager - Sap Transactional Finance

Position Summary
The Financial Systems Manager - SAP Transactional Finance will work with the Verano Finance and Accounting teams to seamlessly integrate Financial Systems across the enterprise, primarily within SAP. This role will be responsible for providing guidance on transactional process flows and system procedures within SAP, specifically surrounding customer setup, invoicing and receipts (accounts receivable), vendor setup, invoices and payments (accounts payable), cash management, and bank reconciliations, in order to ensure consistent alignment with standard accounting practices and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and development of SAP / S4HANA accounting and finance software (SAP) across all the markets as they go live, specifically within AP, AR, and cash management.
• Plan and complete all implementation deliverables to deadlines for portfolio projects and enhancements.
• Support the design and build, testing, data migration, and change management to SAP S4 HANA.
• Produce high quality and concise project, user training and user support content in different suitable formats.
• Help oversee financial system operational responsibilities such as data integrity checking, month-end processing, systems setups, and other related duties.
• Prepare and deliver systems and process demos, exercises, training, and conceptual presentations to engage and upskill the user community.
• Resolve user issues in a timely manner, directly or through liaising with support teams (i.e. IT).
• Collaborate with all finance areas to assess financial system application security, enhancement needs, and process transformation.
• Create and identify use cases, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and proper test scripts in order to conduct UAT and integration testing.
• Ensure correct process flows and address operational needs during the implementation, interim state for each phase, and Go Live/Run Phase.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial system processes.
• Provide regular status updates to finance leadership.
• Ensure inter-company relationships/transactions are correctly identified and set up within the financial system.
• Assist with process improvements for all of Verano, including refinement and automation of close processes and reporting, and implementation of robust accounting system procedures.
• Adhere to deadlines, both internally and cross-functionally, to meet close responsibilities by ensuring implementation is not delayed.
• Help implement additional accounting modules and add on/new financials systems (automation/ERP).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
• 5+ years of Financial Systems and/or accounting experience required.
• 2+ years experience with SAP ECC or preferably S4 HANA.
• Experience with SAP and/or SAC (SAP Cloud Analytics) required.
• Extensive hands-on experience with financial accounting systems (SAP/Intacct helpful) with knowledge of data structure and reporting requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required, including working with large amounts of data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a publicly traded manufacturing, CPG, or cannabis company.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with an SAP Implementation.
• Experience with Sage Intacct Software.
