Position Summary:
The Dover Global ERP Center of Excellence develops and supports innovative technology solutions to meet operational business objectives leveraging Enterprise Resource Planning technologies and adjacent supporting systems. We provide operational support to existing solutions, while working toward a future vision that combines leading cloud platforms with standard business processes to provide efficient, best-in-class business solutions.
The Sr. Manager, ERP Financial Systems, will lead a team of subject matter experts pertaining to Financial best practices in Oracle Cloud, Oracle EBS, other ERPs (SAP ECC/S4, SAP HANA, Infor Syteline, MS Dynamics), as well as integrations and third-party applications such as Vertex Tax and Avalara. This role will drive strategic projects and process improvement for Dover Corporate and its Operating Companies (OpCo’s). The Sr. Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement solutions across a variety of existing ERP instances. This role will also be responsible for governance of the Finance track work within ERP implementation projects. The incumbent will also work closely with our managed service partner providing solution input and governance for day-to-day support and application enhancement activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of ERP Financials solutions from requirement gathering to delivery
- Provide governance of all ERP financial implementation work by internal resources and third parties
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with functional leadership and key stakeholders
- Identify, Document and Implement standard work for enterprise financial solutions to enable cross-OpCo efficiency and improve data quality
- Act as a Change Advocate within the OpCo’s and Corporate functions to improve productivity, end-user experience and adoption of standard financial processes; Engage and Inspire others to act as Agents of Change within their functions / OpCo’s
- Emphasize Process efficiencies and sustainable standard-work to improve adoption of technologies
- Provide oversight and leadership direction to Global ERP Finance team (domestic and India Innovation Centre)
- Work with Global Process Owners to establish and maintain the governance model for Oracle Cloud and other ERP finance modules across the enterprise: maintain guidelines, review/approve core process changes.
- Partner with Dover Business Services (DBS) to provide ERP specific IT support for future companies transitioning into shared services.
- Participate in planning and execution of enhancement projects to improve financial processing on Oracle and other ERP platforms, including integration of data to and from Oracle.
- Ensure that the Finance team is acting as subject matter experts for Oracle and any bolt-on 3rd party systems such as Vertex; stay up to date with technology changes and application techniques
- Maintain team focus through effective project planning and execution; leverage a mix of waterfall and Agile techniques to optimize delivery outputs
- Identify Risks and develop effective mitigation plans; Inform leadership of support / decisions needed to manage risks
- Establish and maintain proper governance and controls for IT contracts and statements of work
- Create periodic and ad-hoc executive updates reporting key team achievements and progress against plan, in a succinct format for an executive audience
- Demonstrate commitment to industry standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance
Qualifications / Requirements/Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum of B.S. or equivalent in Business or Information Technology (MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar discipline). Advanced degree, MS and/or MBA, is preferred.
- 7+ years of working experience in ERP, minimum 4-years directly managing or supporting Financial Management systems
- Ability to work well with vendors, internal constituents, and third party/internal compliance groups
- Experience running complex, global projects with various stakeholders (multi-function / multi-region)
- Lean and/or Six-Sigma certifications a plus
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic environment
- Strong sense of urgency, accountability and highly objective oriented
- Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks, a self-starter with ability to problem solve proactively
- Clear, concise and articulate communication skills - verbal, written and listening
