Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced FP&A Specialist to join their team. The FP&A Specialist will be responsible for providing senior management with accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Planning, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required, along with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Upload of Business plan to ERP & Power BI.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including monthly/quarterly management reports, variance analysis reports, and ad hoc analysis, to present to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department managers to consolidate and analyse departmental budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insightful recommendations for improvement.
- Perform monthly/quarterly impairment testing for all units in Africa.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate and support new business initiatives, including pricing analysis, profitability analysis, and return on investment (ROI) calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and Memorandums for executive meetings, board meetings, and presentation to the Region.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Financial Planning tools, systems, and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Provide support to senior management in preparing presentations and materials for stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Financial Planning and Analysis to continuously improve the effectiveness of FP&A processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Treasury, Marketing and Operations, to ensure alignment of financial plans with operational activities.
- Any Adhoc task related to financial modelling to support the Finance Director Africa in decision making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Proficient in financial modelling and forecasting techniques, with excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Financial Planning software or ERP systems, such as SAP & SUN
- Professional certifications, such as CFA/CIMA or CPA, are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
