Job purpose

This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical ability, pragmatism, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position reports to the FP&A Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Financial Planning system used for budgeting/forecasting & reporting
• Assist with end of month financial close variance review (forecast vs. actual), as well as financial and operational metric reporting
• Assist with the preparation of presentations of financial & operational business results
• Collaborating with peers to perform ad-hoc analysis and innovate upon existing strategies utilizing independent judgment
• Assist in driving standardization, and automation of all management reporting
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
• Recommends actions to management by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Increases Finance team productivity by developing automated accounting applications, coordinating information requirements.
• Assistance with month end close process, as needed
• Other financial and operational analysis and duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Accounting or Finance required, MBA or other Master’s degree preferred
• FP&A designation preferred, or in process of obtaining either. Other certifications highly desirable (CPA, CFA, CMA, etc.)
• Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
• Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting
• Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial tools, market conditions, and trends
• Investigate and resolve matters of significance on behalf of management
• Compare and evaluate possible courses of action and make decisions after the various possibilities have been considered.
• Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects at once
• High level of analytical ability and accuracy with ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision

• Project Management
• SQL and database management knowledge highly desirable
• Advanced level knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills, with particular focus on financial modeling and the use of advanced features of spreadsheets (Pivot Tables, PowerPivot, VBA, Arrays, Lookups, etc.)

This is full-time Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, with additional hours/times as needed in Aventura, FL.
