Senior Financial Planning Analyst

SUMMARY
Arete's Senior Financial Planning Analyst provides business leaders and leadership with the analysis and information they need to make operational, financial and strategic decisions. This role supports the annual planning, forecasting and budgeting process and involves modeling & analysis of financial statements, variance analysis through spreadsheet automation, macros, PowerBI and Workday Adaptive Planning.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data
• Prepare financial reports for internal use at the company by collecting, analyzing, formatting and presenting information
• Evaluate new projects and investment opportunities
• Builds budgets and forecasts of future company performance
• Design, develop and maintain a corporate financial model that details the entire company's operations and projects future performance
• Use complex knowledge of IT systems such as, but not limited to, Excel spreadsheet automation, macros, report generation, data visualization, Power BI and Workday Adaptive Planning
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
• Cultivate ongoing improvements in finance and business processes and methodologies
• Champion and inspire creativity with fresh thinking, optimism, and resourcefulness
• Accurate, timely and structured data supporting review company initiatives
• Working closely with business and finance leaders coordinating on special projects & data requests.
• Development and enhancement of financial metrics underpinning the business
• Financial modelling and analytics supporting current critical activities
• Develop Dashboards for Management
• Through self-directed activities act as a liaison between Finance, IT and operations, using superior communication skills to elicit, document, analyze and validate requirements.
• Direct development of visualization & reporting.
• Streamline Reporting/Budgeting/Forecast process to give management more visibility over key items.
• Develop databases and maintain data collection and cleanup
• May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Proficient with complex formulas, matrix, array formulas, regression analysis, interactive pivot tables to create custom dashboards
• Use complex knowledge of IT systems such as, but not limited to, Excel spreadsheet automation, macros, report generation, data visualization, Power BI and Workday Adaptive Planning
• Accurate and organized, takes ownership of, reviews, questions, and thoughtfully challenges data
• Drives actions and timelines with senior leaders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in project management, computational and applied mathematics, and/or finance . Master's degree preferred
• 7 years+ financial analysis, willingness to become the in-house Workday Adaptive Planning expert
• Advance knowledge of supply chain management
• Must have a passion for finance
• Outstanding multitasking abilities
• Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with Arete salary and benefit policy.
FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
