Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst will play a key role as finance business partner to the internal company executives and field support teams. The role will be vital to analyze, influence, and drive improved business performance through root cause variance analysis, KPI driven analytics and trends, benchmarking, and executive level reporting. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of finance, including accounting and financial modeling. Of foremost importance is the ability to be an effective communication liaison among functional and business owner groups to ensure transparency and accountability. The role reports to the Director of FP&A.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed revenue and margin analysis including customer reporting, labor productivity, sales force productivity, pricing analysis, and other key margin drivers with the goal to drive financial performance improvement
- Act as key finance business partner to internal Corporate departments to drive better financial understanding
- Drive annual budget process, monthly and quarterly forecast process
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial information, identify root cause drivers and help business partners understand how to react
- Assist with tracking/quantifying various strategic initiatives across various workstreams
- Develop operations reports to assist management in targeting key areas of focus
- Prepare executive level presentation materials. Develop clear and informative methods of presenting financial data
- Typically faces situations that are unstructured and requires original and disciplined approaches
- Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive situations
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics with 3-5 years or more of finance experience, primarily in financial reporting and/or Financial Planning and analysis.
- Experience leading the forecasting process within an organization
- Experience building new processes and workflows collaborating with various functional groups
- Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office software, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Understands relational database principles
- CPA and/or MBA considered a strong plus
- Experience with NetSuite or similar Financial Planning tool considered a strong plus
- Experience incorporating acquisitions/business ventures into an organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A commitment to transparency and collaboration
- Blend of financial, strategy, business analysis, and project skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment within deadlines and work with executive, technology and financial leadership.
