Title: Financial Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business – telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Conduct financial model prototyping and analytic programming. Design use cases for each component built and help Quality Assurance team perform overall component testing, including business logic and software performance. Document and help component users (other software developers) understand analytic component interfaces and usage. Aid in design and implementation of models in analytical software components. Aid in maintenance and enhancement of financial calculation software components used in enterprise software products and internal data production systems. Reverse engineer credit union data and create automation program to match transformation logic. Validate dataset and create historical analysis for client. Develop and enhance cloud-based web application aimed to help clients on getting better datasets and visualizing a variety of analysis. Develop and enhance backend agile structure used by the web application. Make data modeling updates per clients’ requests and deliver through CD/CI pipeline. Telecommuting permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field plus one (1) year of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a related position applying knowledge of quantitative methods, including statistical techniques, econometrics, monte carlo simulations and optimization methods for financial modelling. Full term of experience must include the following: working with datasets, collecting and cleaning data, and summarizing and charting trends; applying knowledge of economics, including microeconomics and macroeconomics; using basic principles of credit risk, including financial analysis and reporting; using basic principles of finance, including fixed income and interest rate derivatives; and working with MongoDB and program languages, including Python, C#, and corresponding framework. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $62,234 to $113,750, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
