Financial Controller

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing responsibilities to meet required reporting schedules
Support annual budgeting process, including both the direct and indirect elements of the business
Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly Short-Term Forecast (STF) process, including maintaining consolidated STF file and input/submission to corporate leadership
Coordinate and prepare monthly variance analysis for division leadership
Development and maintenance of product standard cost for raw material, labor, and overhead
Management of balance sheet
SAP System Maintenance for CAPEX and Standard Costing
Track, report, and resolve material purchase price variance (PPV) analysis
Provide inventory management reports and support to include annual physical inventory reporting
Management of banking relationships and debt/lender agreement management
Manage and maintain indirect budgets, including working with budget managers to ensure targets are met
Provide leadership with current, accurate and complete data for making critical decision
Perform indirect rate calculations, including absorption analysis and how it impacts the P&L
Development and maintenance of a people planning financial model that compares the anticipated program demand with current headcount (supply)
Participate and lead special projects, perform ad hoc analysis and drive process improvements within the organization
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance and minimum 5 years prior related experience
CPA/CMA certification
Proven P&L track record for $40-50 million business
Experience in an international setting (European Financial Reporting)
Strong management and leadership to manage finance/accounting team
Experience with SAP; Minimum of 10 Years
Expert in MS Excel and MS Suite
Additional Requirements:
Experience with US Government, Department of Defense contracts and DFAR/FAR
Flexible to work overtime and weekends
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate (written/verbal) financial information
Ability to work in a team environment and develop strong working relationships with coworkers in other departments
Highly organized, able to prioritize workload, and meet strict deadlines
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
