FFinancial Analyst (Inventory accounting and Cost Estimation
I nternational Manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Senior Financial Specialist to support both Cost Estimation and Inventory Accounting functions for their Specialty Materials business unit. This position will be based in Monroe, NC.
As a Senior Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting financial data from manufacturing activities to determine the cost of conducting business. The position will help steer the profitability of the company by supporting manufacturing, sales and management with valuable financial information to help guide business decision and reduce product cost. This position will also be responsible for the completeness, accuracy, timeliness and quality of monthly, quarterly and annual cost reporting and analysis. Analysis includes, but is not limited to, inventory, labor and procurement cost.
This is a Direct Hire position with a salary range of $85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience with a good benefits program located in Monroe NC
Essential Functions
- Support month-end inventory close
- Perform reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Financial Representative for assigned Value Stream
- Coordinate with Revert Management group for accurate valuation and count of revert material
- Support inventory forecasting and variance explanation
- Lead development of cost travelers working with product management
- Lead compiling of Profitability review meeting data and analysis
- Prepare month end inventory reserves (Excess & Obsolete, Hedges, ETC.), while engaging business to help drive reserve balances down
- Be the 'go-to' person for inventory related information for any financial information or analysis that is required
- Drive process improvements within inventory accounting
- Assist with physical inventory as well as the cycle count program
- Monthly/Quarterly reporting including supplemental data and ABL
- Assist in cost savings projects as needed
- Assist in audit requests
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3 years of experience with knowledge of Cost Accounting, Cost Estimation Analysis and/or process manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA or CPA) preferred
