The Financial and Sales Analyst is a pivotal role responsible for in-depth financial analysis, sales performance evaluation, and leveraging QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Amazon Seller Central to provide comprehensive insights. This individual will contribute to strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data, supporting sales initiatives, and optimizing performance on the Amazon e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analysis using QuickBooks,(or remove ‘Quickbooks’) including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Generate financial reports to provide insights into key performance indicators and overall financial health.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Sales Performance Analysis:
Analyze sales data from Salesforce and Amazon Seller Central, evaluating key metrics such as revenue, margins, and product performance.
Provide actionable insights to the sales team to optimize performance and achieve sales targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with financial goals.
Amazon Seller Central Management:(and management of other customer listings; HD, Lowe’s, Menards…)
Utilize Amazon Seller Central to monitor and manage product listings, inventory, and pricing.
Analyze sales data specific to Amazon, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
Optimize advertising and promotional strategies on the Amazon platform.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
Contribute to the development of annual budgets and sales forecasts, incorporating insights from Amazon sales.
Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide explanations for variances.
Work closely with relevant teams to revise forecasts based on market conditions.
Data Management and Reporting:
Ensure accurate and up-to-date data management in QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Amazon Seller Central.(other systems?)
Create and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders.
Maintain data integrity and resolve discrepancies in financial and sales records.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate in the development of strategic plans by providing financial and sales insights.
Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization, particularly within the Amazon marketplace.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate complex financial and sales insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Collaborate with the sales team, finance department, and Amazon account management to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or Sales Analyst, with specific experience in Amazon Seller Central.
Proficient in using QuickBooks for financial analysis and reporting.
Experience with Salesforce administration and analytics.
Familiarity with managing product listings and performance on Amazon Seller Central.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
