This Financial Analyst position will support the supply chain finance team as part of the Corporate Supply Chain Finance organization. They will report to the Manager, Supply Chain Finance. The Financial Analyst will partner with the sourcing, operations, and supply chain teams to drive profitable growth for the business. This role will help support the operations forecast and estimate process, the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process, standard costing, budgeting, capital expenditure reporting, and special projects. The applicant should be comfortable working in a fast paced, flexible environment. The ability to work across teams effectively is critical to the success of this position. This role has potential for expanded responsibilities and an opportunity for development and growth within the organization.
Duties Include:
- Partner with the sourcing team to assist with cost savings analysis, project reviews, and tracking to meet corporate savings goals
- Support month-end close activities for Sourcing Finance including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Provide month-end reporting, variance analysis, and presentation support for results explanations to operations teams and business leaders
- Assist with inflation analysis for sourced goods and inbound freight.
- Create spend analysis reports to highlight trends and support other business needs
- Support ad-hoc SAP standard costing requests and the annual standard costing process
- Assist with capital budgets, project approvals, and asset activation for the business
- Support both internal and external audit requests
- Assist with building the annual operations budget
- Work with the department to support the implementation of new processes and process improvements as needed including documentation of processes and procedures
- Complete other ad hoc analysis, projects, and requests as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with various applications; MS Excel, MS PPT, MS Word required
- Possess a thorough understanding of financial statements and relationships between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Detail oriented and strong attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve autonomously
- Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- SAP and Oracle/Hyperion/Essbase experience a plus
