Sr. Financial Analyst

MerchSource is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to oversee the financial operations of a new distribution center. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with experience in accounting and finance, as well as operations and logistics. MerchSource, a ThreeSixty Group Company is a $400.0MM consumer products company that designs and develops consumer products and solutions in the areas of Toys, Home Comfort, Wellness, RC and cross-category gifting. Brands include the iconic Sharper Image, FAO Schwarz, Vornado, and Discovery Kids.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE:
This position is Monday - Friday at our distribution center located in Bloomingdale, GA.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the distribution center's goals and objectives.
Oversee finance planning functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Utilize open orders and weekly PO conversion estimates to build a labor plan that meets organizational financial targets. Manage daily variance against aligned labor plan.
Support accounting team with inventory movement discrepancies, accounts payable and invoice entry, and AR disputes or questions.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the financial performance of the distribution center.
Provide financial guidance to the operations team to ensure that the center is operating efficiently and effectively.
Support on-site audit process and data management.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management and other stakeholders.
Ad-hoc analysis as needed by senior leadership and distribution center partners.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
7+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with experience in manufacturing or logistics and distribution preferred.
Advanced Excel skills are required.
Experience with Netsuite is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
