Job Description
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in financial modeling and data analysis including strategic and financial planning, operational analysis, benchmarking, capital project review, and new lines of business. Reporting to and partnering with the Director of FP&A, the position will develop relationships with the senior executives in the organization and influence the strategic direction of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, what-if, scenario planning and break even.
- Identify financial risks with recommendations to mitigate.
- Design and develop reports to be used by others to support financial results.
- Compiling and analyzing data to create reports for management.
- Review and analyze monthly financial reports and variance analysis of budget to actual results focusing on anomalies and trends.
- Develop and prepare certain key schedules comparing performance to defined key performance indicators.
- Assist in the continued development of the company’s business intelligence capabilities.
- Adhoc reports, analysis, and projects as required.
- Expected to understand, explain and interpret analysis to operations and help the finance team make recommendations to senior management.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes. Serve as primary contact to managers for financial reviews, analysis and questions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE –
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 2-6 years of corporate finance/accounting experience preferred; Preference given to experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and Access – skilled in working with querying data and working with large data sets.
- Experience with Adaptive Insights or any CPM software.
- Demonstrated aptitude for mastering data extraction and manipulation tools preferred. Ability to quickly learn a specialized complex tool to successfully provide the best data analysis and reports needed.
- Must have strong database skills. Ability to understand complex Finance Databases and conceptualize improvements.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts/models.

- Experience working with an ERP system preferred.
