Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Aid Officer to join our team. As a Financial Aid Officer, you will be responsible for assisting students with their Financial Aid applications and providing guidance on available funding options. Your role will be crucial in helping students navigate the Financial Aid process and make informed decisions regarding their education. Duties: - Review and evaluate Financial Aid applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Determine eligibility for various Financial Aid programs, grants, and scholarships - Assist students in completing required forms and documents - Provide guidance on available funding options, including loans and work-study programs - Conduct Financial Aid workshops and information sessions for students and parents - Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of Financial Aid applications - Maintain accurate records of student Financial Aid information - Stay up-to-date with changes in Financial Aid regulations and policies Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Strong knowledge of Financial Aid processes and regulations - Proficiency in using Financial Aid management systems such as PeopleSoft or Ellucian - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to explain complex financial concepts to students and parents - Strong analytical skills for conducting financial analysis and assessing eligibility - Knowledge of education administration and student account management - Experience with loan processing and verification procedures - Strong math skills for calculating Financial Aid packages We offer competitive compensation packages and benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
