Job Summary:

The Finance Controller will be crucial in our financial management team, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. A willingness to embrace and learn the intricacies of cryptocurrency finance will be crucial for successfully navigating the complexities of our industry. Prior knowledge in these areas is a significant advantage, yet the eagerness to learn and adapt is equally valued. Must be located in the US on the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage comprehensive accounting operations, including but not limited to Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition, with a focus on the unique challenges of cryptocurrency.
• Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting processes, offering strategic insights into
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions, with a special emphasis on cryptocurrency regulations.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and business processes to support crypto transactions and manage international currencies.
• Oversee the implementation of financial systems and controls designed to accommodate the specific needs of cryptocurrency transactions.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to the executive team, helping guide the company's decisions in the dynamic crypto market.
• Facilitate collaboration between our in-house finance team and external financial experts.
• Prepare and present financial statements and reports highlighting the implications of cryptocurrency and international operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated understanding of cryptocurrency markets and international finance, or with an openness to learning in these areas.
• Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting, with the ability to adapt these standards to the cryptocurrency context.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, particularly within the cryptocurrency sector.
• Strong leadership qualities, capable of guiding a small but dedicated finance team.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems relevant to cryptocurrency and international finance will be considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
