About
As a finance BP, and part of the Global finance team, you will be empowered to be the key contributor to ByteDance's continuing success in the Global Marketing department. This role is based out of our NYC office. The new hire will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and act as a strategic partner to the key global marketing functions, which includes providing guidance to regional marketing finance BPs. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and developing financial processes. You will be a key member of the finance team, working closely with other Finance Business Partners, as well as cross-functional teams across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the financial planning process of the Global Marketing business: develop short-term and long-term budget plans, monitor budget and inform business leaders on trends, update the budget and financial forecasts periodically
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to drive business growth and improvement
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to key stakeholders and senior management in the business segment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment with company goals and regional market specific initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on the global business landscape and market trends to identify financial opportunities and risks
- Mentor a team of junior Finance Business Partners
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience with SQL is a plus
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in content, media, or a high-growth tech company - Experience working across various locations/timezones and global organizations
- Knowledge of US-GAAP, IFRS rules, and SOX compliance
- Experience with financial modelling and process improvement
- MBA/CPA is a plus
- Advanced experience in using Microsoft Office/Google Package and experience with EBS/SAP
