ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Dive headfirst into daily accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with our team to prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Perform analysis of financial data and share findings with the accounting and finance team.
- Get involved in budget planning and forecasting processes.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance reports.
- Work on audit and regulatory compliance processes.
- Roll up your sleeves and dive into ad-hoc projects as assigned by the accounting and finance team.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Previous accounting or finance internship experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
- Gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance while working with a passionate and collaborative team.
- Work on meaningful projects that directly contribute to SoLa Impact's mission to address the housing crisis in Southern California.
- Get exposure to real estate development and private equity investing.
