We are looking for a Field Service Support Specialist to support our Graphics Team out of our Houston, TX Location.
SUMMARY:
Lead activities of the Field Service team in conjunction with strategic goals of the Architectural Graphics division or corporate goals. Manage installation of new products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accuracy of implementation or installation of new products and programs through study of blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
- Coordinate installation activities with customer by reviewing installation procedures and schedules; negotiate installation with Customer Service.
- Plan procedures for installation on basis of starting and completion times and other requirements for each phase of installation to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Prepare estimates and detail scope of product or program installation by working with senior management, Sales, and Engineering staff.
- Communicate changes to Engineering, Customer Service and/or Manufacturing as required to meet customer requirements or to improve quality and cost.
- Delegate daily work schedule and organize workflow by determining the priority of jobs based on standard reporting or scheduled meetings and determining when, where and how jobs will be worked.
- Coordinate activities of outside contractors, sub-contractors, installers, or other workers concerned with installation projects in regard to cost, scheduling and codes.
- Resolve major customer complaints or problems by analyzing problem and recommend appropriate solution; continuously identify process improvements.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
- Train employees on processes, skills and techniques or cross train to ensure consistent project support.
- Prepare reports on installation progress, materials used and costs, problems and solutions; adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering/Business Management from four-year college or university; 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training in sign display or graphics industry in engineering, construction, and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
