JOB SUMMARY
An experienced professional that serves an existing customer base and known industry end users by identifying their needs; recommends product use based on technical discovery and validates in field product performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with new and existing accounts to help build our product’s market presence in North America.
- Validate product performance in field operation.
- Develop new relationships with operations and maintenance accounts.
- Work in conjunction with Management to build a comprehensive strategic and tactical Sales plan in order to achieve new results and efficiencies for Sales.
- Analyze market trends / shifts; provide market intelligence & data on competitive activity.
- Manage product specification changes & interface with manufacturing and engineering on sales plans/troubleshooting.
- Presentation / participation in trade association events.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in a technical field or sales and marketing
- Minimum 2 years work experience in technical sales with an understanding of long sales cycles
- PC computer literate in MS Office
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills is essential
- Familiarity with electrical components, AC/DC motors and good overall mechanical experience is a plus.
- Operational understanding of utility scale wind turbines is a huge plus.
- Aptitude/willingness for learning technical specs and application of carbon brush products for testing and installation.
- Willing to work/climb at heights – climb 200+ foot ladders
- Travel 50%+ of normal business days including overnight travel (air and auto)
- Valid / or ability to acquire valid passport required.
- Required to pass a “climb rescue and work at heights” certification.
