What to Expect What You’ll Bring
We are looking for enthusiastic and data-driven candidates to join our team as Field Quality Technician for North American Pre-Delivery Headquarters. The objective of North American Pre-Delivery Headquarters is to reduce service burden by identifying areas for improvement pre-delivery. In this role you will utilize quality and operational efficiency metrics to identify areas of improvement within the SSD and Manufacturing organizations. Through extensive product quality audits from supplier through ownership, you will verify root-cause analysis results. The ideal candidate will effectively collaborate with many cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement and lean operations.
What You’ll Do- Perform in-depth product inspection to validate root-cause analysis from supplier through ownership
- Regularly visit SSD and Manufacturing sites to review activities, implement quality and customer service standards, resolve issues, identify trends, and provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders
- Construct and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with all related teams
- Utilize available software such as Microsoft Suite, Jira and analytic dashboards to track progress of initiatives
- Maintain up to date knowledge of changing product quality standards
- Utilize 5S and Lean operation principles to identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Drive implementation of corrective actions within appropriate teams
- 2+ years of experience performing direct quality inspection
- 3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional position
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, MOS, SCA, Jira and Tableau
- Working knowledge of Tesla products from parts, repairs, production, and ownership
- Understanding of SSD field operations from logistics to delivery
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$28.75 - $54.44/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
