The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the largest provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for youth and adults. Program participants protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks, and community green spaces across the country.
As Crew Leader, you will be supervising 3 young adults (ages 18+) in various projects at National Park Service (NPS) and US Forest Service (USFS) sites across Michigan and Minnesota. The team will travel from site to site every 2-4 weeks, staying at SCA rented campsites and houses. Some of the projects may include installing or repairing split rail fence, performing trail work, and preserving historic bridges and structures. The crew leader will operate alongside the members, using various types of tools and equipment, and complete necessary paperwork such as reports, timesheets, and output logs.
