We are the Apple Field Design Engineering Connectivity group specializing on location technologies using E911/GNSS, and we are looking for highly motivated engineer to evaluate emergency location user experience on the latest iPhone, Apple Watch & iPad products. This also includes validating the state-of-the-art positioning technologies developed at Apple with focused experiments and real-world engineering analysis to improve overall end user location experience.

Key Qualifications
Understanding of E911/GNSS technologies
Good cellular technology knowledge in NR/LTE/VoLTE/UMTS and GSM
Good RF & OTA fundamentals along with application in real world scenarios
Strong log analysis skills debugging protocol and physical layer issues in Cellular and GNSS technologies
Testing and debugging experience of LTE/3G and 2G call flow in live cellular network
Experience in building and conducting test plans for E911/GNSS/AGPS technologies
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Solid debugging skills with a focus on out of box thinking
Description
- Develop and carry out E911 test plan with focus on customer experience for cellular/location use cases
- Generate system performance test reports with key performance indicators, highlight top issues and provide succinct data-driven summary to senior management
- Perform deep dive analysis into internal logs to understand and identify root cause of any HW/SW issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and 3rd party vendors throughout the project cycle
- Work with team members across various time zones
Education & Experience
BS or MS in Electrical or similar engineering with industry experience in E911/Cellular/GNSS technologies
