Job Title: Field Continuous Improvement Manager
Reports To: Director Renewable Energy
Location: Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ

Position Summary:
The Renewable Energy (RE) Field Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for pushing forward, the oversight and implementation of continuous Improvement on all RE projects. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity assisting with some of the largest and most unique solar jobs in the country and with excellent opportunity for future growth within McCarthy.
This position requires extensive travel to project locations that span the continental U.S., 75% on average.
Key Responsibilities

  • Active onsite involvement with all RE projects on frequent basis
  • Providing direct Continuous Improvement leadership to the Project Team, Implement and monitor the training and the Continuous Improvement development of all staff personnel, coordinating with available programs. Ensure monthly Continuous Improvement training/mentor sessions are taking place.
  • Actively participate with the Project Director, Sr Leadership and preconstruction in the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement throughout lifecycle of project.
  • Coordinate with the Project Superintendent in the development and implementation of the projects Continuous Improvement Plan.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the pile, racking, modules and electrical associated with the installation of a solar field.
  • Produce a Continuous Improvement responsibility matrix for the Project Team for implementation when not onsite.
  • Understanding and Knowledge of project costs (labor, material, equipment, and subcontract) and identify opportunities for improvements/savings and problem areas which may result in cost overruns.
  • Challenge Project Superintendent and field staff to find new means and methods of construction to increase profitability, quality, and schedule.
  • Participates in regular calls with the Craft Learning & Development team
  • Champions the McCarthy culture and is an advocate for Continuous Improvement at all levels.

Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Construction Experience
  • Formal CI training is a plus but not required
  • Ability to travel 100% nationwide
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering a plus
  • Experience with solar or energy related projects of 10M+
  • General knowledge of construction principles/practices required
  • Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work

For Colorado locations only, In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB19-085), we are including McCarthy's good-faith and reasonable estimate of a range of entry level base compensation at the time of the posting. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Given the dynamic nature of the large-scale commercial construction industry, a candidate's project portfolio and background can change the role and compensation for which that candidate might be qualified. The title and pay range for this role could change based on candidate qualifications and experience. Pay Range: $102,700 - $128,400
