Currently, we are seeking a Field Applications Engineer - IoT with at least 3 years of experience, based in USA. ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will provide technical support for our wide array of telematics devices to a variety of customers, both internal and external. You'll become an expert in the technical details of our cutting-edge products that provide crucial services to customers in numerous verticals, such as fleet operations, construction, and fixed asset monitoring. You'll leverage your technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenging operational issues, ensuring that our products deliver the services for which they were designed.
- On a daily basis, you'll work on a variety of issues reported by our varied customer base. Each day will bring new and different opportunities to apply your unique abilities to solve challenging problems.
- We'll provide you ample opportunities to learn new skills, such as vehicle telematics protocols, GPS operations, and the intricacies of telecom networks.
Must Haves
- Demonstrable experience in a highly technical discipline, like computer programming, networking, or vehicle telematics
- Working knowledge of cellular communication technologies
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- A strong desire to learn and to help customers solve complicated problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Pluses
- Embedded Linux experience
- Spanish language proficiency
- Any certifications in OBD / JBUS vehicle bus protocols
- Industry experience in the internet of things / vehicle telematics
