HOURS: A minimum of 24 and maximum of 30 hours a week

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK SOME DAY HOURS WHICH INCLUDE SOME IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL TIMES

Long Island Consultation Center is a community based behavioral health outpatient clinic in Elmhurst, that was established over 70 years ago. The clinic is licensed by OMH and OASAS and works with individuals who struggle with mental illness and/or substance use. The program is staffed with a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, LMSWs, LCSWs, LCSW-Rs, LMHCs, and CASACs. We work with individuals 6 years old and up and services include individual, family and group psychotherapy, medication for both psychiatric and substance use needs.

RESPONSIBLITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• New York State licensed LMSW or LCSW;
• Experience completing assessments, treatment planning, and providing individual, family and group psychotherapy.
• Experience working with substance use, depression, anxiety, SPMI, complex trauma and psychosocial stressors of poverty, abuse, abandonment, grief/loss, foster care, and criminal justice involvement.
• Comfortability working with a co-occurring (mental health and substance use) population.
• Familiarity with documentation requirements, including intake and assessment, medical necessity, treatment planning, and clinical/psychotherapy interventions from the start of the treatment though termination.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical record a plus.
• Bilingual a plus
