We are seeking a Human Capital Consultant - Classification for one of our client.
The Human Capital Consultant (Classification) position shall serve as a technical advisor and provide position classification and position management services including writing and classifying position descriptions, position management, desk audits, and analysis of special studies and assessments including, but not limited to:
· Ten (10) years of experience supporting Federal Human Resource programs, with six (6) years in providing expert consultation and technical service in the review, maintenance, revising, and/or development of federal staffing requirements.
· Assessing and making recommendations on organizational structure, workforce planning projections, and organizational realignments and redesigns.
· Providing expert advice, consultation, and training on a variety of position classification and organization issues.
· Conducting analytical work to ensure the organizational structure supports the requested position title, occupational series, pay system, and position grade.
· Conducting special projects and studies to assess the effectiveness of and provide recommendations to improve the classification and/or position management programs and processes.
· Using standard OPM guidelines for position classification.
· Expert knowledge of Federal Civil Service laws, rules and regulations in multiple HR disciplines, with an emphasis in Classification.
· Advanced expertise and knowledge of the Human Capital strategic area
· Ability to define problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
· Ability to provide analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing strategy related to Task Area
· Extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program managers and policymakers
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Master’s degree in area related to labor category is preferred.
