Job Description
Nursing Residents who have completed an accredited RN program will work as a registered nurse under preceptor supervision. Once the NCLEX exam is passed and the State of Illinois has issued an RN License, they will move to an RN role and will be responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift.

Hours: Full-time, weekend and holiday rotation
Pay based on applicable experience; starting at $33.73
Responsibilities
Applies cardiac monitor in alignment with approved policies, procedures, and physician orders. , Assessment- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data. , Completes assigned tasks in alignment with infection control standards. , Coordination of Care- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients., Diagnosis - Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues., Documents and reports care delivered to patients under the direct supervision of an RN. , Evaluation- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Reports data and outcomes to as appropriate to physician and/or other disciplines., Implementation - Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards., Knowledge - In collaboration with Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, reading current literature and seeking new clinical learning opportunities. , Outcomes Identification - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation., Planning - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes., Provides direct age-appropriate care to patients under the supervision of the RN or Patient Care Leader. Assists with activities of daily living, performs EKG's and finger stick blood sugars and bladder scans., Relationships - Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team. Identifies and confers with appropriate resources regarding patient care decisions., Supports relationship-based care., Teaching - Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.

ADN (Required)
