The Achievement Center of LECOM Health is looking to add a
Family Based Mental Health Worker to our Team!
***$4,500 Bonus offered with a one-year commitment***
Eligible for $4,500 Bonus payout as follows: $2,500 at time of hire, $1,000 after completion of 60 days, and $1,000 after successful completion of 90 days.
As a Family Based Mental Health Worker, you will work collaboratively with the child, siblings, parents, and other identified individuals to build positive working relationships. YOU will get to make a difference in the life of a child and their family!
A Family Based Mental Health Worker will:
- Receive advance training in FBMH topics.
- Receive support and mentorship through weekly supervisions.
- Participate as an integral part of a team.
- Develop, design, and direct the implementation of the child’s treatment plan.
- Participate in internal and external team meetings.
- Build collaborative relationships within the social service community.
- Demonstrate good writing skills.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology or anthropology plus 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program OR
- Twelve (12) college level semester hours in humanities or social services plus one (1) year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by the Department’s Office of Mental Health (OMH) as a Mental Health family-based worker OR
- Licensed RN plus have one (1) year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by the Department’s Office of Mental Health (OMH) as a Mental Health family-based worker.

Additional Requirements:
- Flexible hours include some non-traditional hours.
- Must be able to work “on-call” rotation and be willing to work evenings and weekends if necessary to meet family’s needs.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member.
- Act 33 Clearance (PA Child Abuse) must be received prior to hire.
- Act 34 Clearance (PA State Police Record Check) OR the Department of Human Services FBI Fingerprinting must also be received prior to hire along with the Act 33 Clearance.
- One of the above, Act 34 or FBI Fingerprint, is required to be received prior to hire with the Act 33 Clearance. The third document must be received within 30 days of hire.
- Current driver’s license and insurance coverage.
- Safety Care Training to provide “hands off” crisis de-escalation within 30 days of hire.
