The FBMH therapist is responsible for implementing the evidenced-based Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy model to provided intensive family and individual therapy children and families who struggle to function as a unit across multiple systems. The ESFT model is rooted in the idea that a child’s functioning is best understood and treated within the confines of family and community relationships. The model incorporates various theories to address and manage the child’s behavior and help the family function better by providing practical solutions for improving the overall family dynamic.
This position requires initial training in the ESFT model and extensive ongoing supervision and training to maintain the certification. This position works jointly with another trained FMBH therapist to provide mobile therapeutic services to children and their families. The incumbent must be able to work both as a team and independently in a variety of treatment settings, including the office, client’s home, client’s school and their community. The team of therapist must also consult with external members of the child’s care team.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Implement ESFT model as it was taught to ensure the fidelity of the program is maintained and outcomes are recorded and tracked appropriately
2. Work jointly with fellow therapist(s) to provide seamless and holistic therapeutic services to the family
3. Respond to crisis situations (24/7 on-call rotation)
4. Adhere to all professional code of ethics and follow federal and state guidelines and laws pertaining to mandated reporting
5. Utilize the state provided client referral packet and review agency intake information to understand the client and family history and current needs prior to first visit
6. Utilize other evidence-based treatments appropriate to the client and family care
7. Create, implement and maintain treatment and safety plans that are regularly reviewed and modified as needed
8. Understand appropriate ways to respond in a crisis.
9. Participate in weekly supervision with agency clinical supervisor as well as Center for Family-based Training agency’s clinical supervisor
10. Attend all required training to maintain ESFT certification
11. Maintain clear, accurate and timely records and case notes
12. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, school and IEP meetings, and court hearings if subpoenaed.
13. Modify interventions and resources to align with the cultural reference of each child and family.
14. Regularly consult with members of the clients’ care team
15. Complete PBH reviews in a timely manner
16. Must maintain required client contact hours per week.
17. Travel to all three counties (New Castle, Kent and Sussex)
18. Attend all mandatory trainings
19. Attend all mandatory staff meetings
20. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements
PROVIDER QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology or a related human services field. Weekly supervision by a licensed Mental Health professional is required.
· Availability to provide services during daytime, evening and weekend hours as agreed upon by the employee and the family.
· Have reliable transportation/vehicle and possess a valid State of Delaware drivers’ license and an active/adequate automobile insurance policy and registration.
· Pass a criminal background check.
· Undergo and pass drug screen

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
