Drueding Center, located at 4th and Master Street in Philadelphia, partners with families experiencing homelessness to support them to build skills to heal from trauma, restore hope, and end the cycle of homelessness through a trauma informed and housing first approach. This work is accomplished through three interrelated departments - Residential Services, Community Services and Child Care.
Drueding Center's Community Services department supports formerly homeless families through three distinct case management programs. After Care for families who have lived in our transitional housing program are supported for up to 7 years, New Neighbors Permanent Supportive Housing program supports 18 families and Blueprint Case management program works with families housed in PHA for one year.
We are currently seeking a full time BSW Social worker to work with families experiencing homelessness in our residential services department.
Position Summary: In keeping with Drueding Center's core principles of healing from trauma, restoring hope and rapidly ending homelessness, provides trauma informed, housing first case management services to resident families. Coordinating services provided within the agency and the community.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required; with one-year experience in human services field preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Knowledge and commitment to principles of social work.
Driver's License required.
Flexible hours with one evening a week and occasional Saturdays.
