The Failure Analysis Team’s mission is to determine rootcause and contributing factors to improve the experience of Tesla’s products byreducing field issues, in collaboration with large cross-section of otherengineering teams. Engineers and technicians on the team are responsible for awide variety of vehicle and energy product systems for existing models andmodels in development. This extremely high visibility individual contributorrole requires extensive hands-on work focused on electromechanical failureanalysis and root cause activities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, fast-learning technician whofinds enjoyment in understanding how things work and how we can correct andprevent issues from occurring. They will be responsible for assistance with diagnosingelectromechanical concerns.
A successful candidate will need to become intimatelyfamiliar with various analysis techniques involving non-destructive anddestructive techniques. Examples of those include capturing and understanding2D X-ray data, mechanical sample preparation (e.g. assembly tear down, crosssectioning, basic electrical debug using a multimeter, and documentation ofregions of interest on failed samples. They will work alongside experiencedengineers while utilizing sophisticated Failure Analysis tools to identifyfailure mechanisms observed in engineering, production, and field environments.
As an industry leading company, Tesla offers the opportunityto work on industry leading products and bleeding edge technology in a fastpaced, dynamic, and high visibility role.
