Job Title: Facility Security Officer

Summary of the position:Optiv + ClearShark is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support our growing federal business. The candidate will have a thorough understanding of federal security regulations as defined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other regulations required to manage security compliance. This position requires a subject matter expert in security policy and procedure implementation. The candidate will ensure clear, timely, and effective communications between all personnel and government security counterparts. This position necessitates experience working as FSO for a Federal Contractor or Reseller/Distributor.
5+ years of relevant professional security or risk management experience with at least 2 years working as a FSO in a Federal Contractor or Reseller/Distributor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform duties related to the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO) Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).
- Oversee all security functions and ensure communication between security personnel.
- Have a full understanding and application of guidance for all security functions in accordance with NISPOM and other applicable security directives.
- Familiarity with the management and implementation of security directives relating to the DoD customer personnel and physical security programs, the NISPOM, and customer specific security manuals.
- Experience with special access programs is a plus.
- Verify clearances, support investigations, and facilitate visitor access.
- Develop security briefings/debriefings and maintain security education program.
- Review and ensure maintenance of contract security requirements for prime and subcontracts.
- Maintain all security documentation and databases in accordance with government requirements.
- Develop, prepare, and implement local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans
- Implement a media control program in accordance with JSIG requirements.
- Conduct and/or participate in internal reviews and government inspections.
- Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports and ratifications.
- Collaborate and assist CISO, General Counsel, and leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have current TS/SCI eligibility with a recently accepted full scope polygraph.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all access as required by the programs.

The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient and must be able to adapt quickly to priority changes. The candidate will also possess the following:

- Experience supporting security programs.
- Experience verifying security clearances and supporting the background investigations.
- Experience in implementing and applying Security Classification Guides.
- Experience managing classified information and multi program facilities.
- Experience implementing security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and other government security regulations.
- Working knowledge on applicable DoD Manuals, DoD Instructions, and other related security manuals
