Backstage Food Hall is a brand new ghost kitchen facility start-up looking for Facility Operations Associates to join their frontline team!
The frontline team is primarily responsible for helping facilitate smooth Facility Operations as a Associates-on-Duty, as well as delivering food orders from kitchens to delivery partners quickly and accurately.
The frontline team is also the face of the facility, ensuring our guests and partners feel welcome and attended to while in our facility, keeping common areas presentable and in full working order, and relaying messages between visitors, partners, and managers.
About the Role
- Be the dependable face of our business to restaurant partners that operate in the facility
- Answer all customer questions and address all customer concerns
- Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
- Retrieve orders from kitchens to the central processing area in the facility
- Be highly organized for delivery partners picking up orders
- Submit daily shift open/close reports
- Perform regular inspections of all common areas
- Recognize and troubleshoot any issues immediately
- Report any maintenance problems to the appropriate staff member for immediate action
- Understanding hygiene and food safety rules or be willing to learn
Day to day asks
- Provide our guests and partners with outstanding service and support
- Provide a warm welcome at the front desk and handle food deliveries
- Run food orders from kitchens to customers quickly and accurately
- Perform facility cleanings, including floors, bathrooms, kitchen, hoods, grease caddies, etc.
- Help keep common areas in safe, adequately supplied, welcoming condition
- Address and communicate concerns regarding sanitation and food safety principles to the Site Supervisor
- Support management through group chats, check-ins, and radio communication.
- Monitor inventory through periodic stocktaking
- Communicate effectively with various coworkers, including kitchen staff, couriers, delivery drivers, management, and team members
About You
- Be tech-savvy - work with various devices, including scanners, tablets, and equipment
- You have the ability to lift to up to 50 pounds, and walk (including up/down stairs), stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods
- You can operate a cardboard baler machine or be willing to learn
- You have excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- You can problem solve independently
- You can follow process, procedures, and instructions
- You can communicate effectively in person and electronically
- You are able to maintain a positive attitude and composure in a fast-paced environment
- You are presentable, pleasant, and friendly, with outstanding people skills
- You are flexible (expect frequent change as we define the future)
- Previous experience with a food service, hospitality or retail company (preferred)
- Previous experience with a technology startup (preferred)
