The Facilities Technician 1 at Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers plays a crucial role in contributing to the construction and renovation projects within infrastructure of Lighthouse’s nine-county service area. The position involves contributing to building projects to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The Facilities Technician 1 will collaborate with the maintenance team to complete maintenance tickets.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preference given to individuals with licenses or certifications in plumbing, electrical tasks, or HVAC.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least three years of experience in facilities, construction, or a related field.
JOB-RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to operate a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal communication with the ability to motivate others.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- The Facilities Technician may be required to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods. They may also need to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Heavy Work: Lifting or exerting 50 to 75 pounds of weight/force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of weight/force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 25 pounds of weight/force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.
- Must be able to travel throughout Lighthouse’s service area.
- When a Lighthouse vehicle is not available, use of personal vehicle is required.
Must be able to work office hours 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, as well as be available for emergency calls on weekends or after hours.
