The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia's four health agencies serving the state's growing population of over 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) and Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians.

Six enterprise offices support the work of the agency's three program divisions. DCH employees are based in Atlanta, Cordele and across the state.

The Office of Facilities and Support is seeking a Facilities Support Analyst.
Job Responsibilities
The Facilities Support Analyst will report to the Equipment Ops Manager, performs a wide range of office administrative duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. Assists in the preparation of reports, gathering and researching information, preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, copying, and filing, preparing notes, performing data entry, and other special projects as needed. May act as a spokesperson for departmental inquiries, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Maintains workflow by studying methods and developing reporting procedures.
  • Work directly with the HFRD Information Technology team and remote offices to coordinate the proper inventory and disposition of state and federal-acquired equipment and furniture.
  • Assist with creating and revising systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, and office layout.
  • Assist with processing property transfer forms for surplus, inter-agency transfers, and agency-to-agency.
  • Resolves administrative problems by coordinating the preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions for
  • Input property transfer forms into Asset Works for sale approval, disposal, and transfer of assets.
  • Provide information and guidance related to facilities and asset management to internal and external customers.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email. File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports. Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
  • Foster relationships with other state agencies to attain needed furniture for use by DOAS.
  • Assist with reporting general facility related issues to landlord of facilities as needed.
  • Provide high level administrative support to the Senior Facilities Manager.
  • Manage calendar and travel for Senior Management Team
  • Capture meeting minutes for high-level meetings
  • Receive and process incoming work orders and space action requests and assign to appropriate team member.
  • Workspace scheduling liaison
  • Prepare new hire orientation handouts

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience related to area of assignment. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
Position may be filled at lower level, depending on experience and qualifications.
Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
