Business Support Analyst 1- Education Outreach Coordinator Inspector

This position is assigned to the Atlanta office.

Position Overview:

Under supervision, provides education, opportunities, or assistance to farmers about FSMA.  

         Performs assessments to determine what kind of help the farmers need and informs and educates them on FSMA.  

         May partner with other Departments, Divisions, outside Agencies, and Vendors to address business issues. 

         Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. 

         May administer or provide high-level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions.

         This position will also conduct inspections of the produce farms.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 

Responsibilities would include creating, scheduling, organizing, and promoting outreach activities and events to educate the produce industry about FSMA.  Also, the Education/Outreach Coordinator will create and maintain a training/operating manual for the inspector.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Preference will be given to applicants, who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

• • Knowledge of Food Safety state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Familiar with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)

         Working knowledge of Windows computer operating system and applications.
