Job Description
Work location - in person
Bilingual candidates preferred - English and Spanish
Ensure that high school students effectively engage in our online tutoring program to help them maximize their success in completing their courses in the Edgenuity program.
Facilitators have target students that they primarily support by encouraging them to connect with a virtual tutor who works to expedite their learning and success.
They stay in frequent communication with the virtual tutors they assist via email or text to be their “eyes and ears” in the classroom. In addition, they also seek to support all students in the classroom that may need assistance, so that they do not single out or bring unwanted attention to their target students.
They are to assist the classroom teacher with any duties that can support the teacher’s instructional efforts that would be customary for a classroom aide or paraprofessional to perform.
A successful facilitator will build relationships of trust with the students and the teacher in the room so that they can elevate the quality of learning that occurs and be able to overcome obstacles that otherwise might discourage the progress of struggling learners.
