To be considered for this position, candidates must have a proven track record in plastic compounding and be skilled in making plastic pellets using the underwater cut process.

They should be able to establish interdepartmental relationships, have strong communication skills, and convey technical data to people of varying levels of understanding. Therefore, the ideal candidate must promote a top-down leadership philosophy using modern best practices in management, accountability, and key performance metrics-based accountability.
They must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen focus on small details are critical. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Experience:
- Candidates must possess a solid track record of running and managing a compounding department.
- Must have extensive experience in manufacturing Polypropylene and Polyethylene pellets.
- Proven track record in process improvement regarding extruders, pelletizers, blenders, and overall safety
Task:
- This candidate will oversee all aspects of the compounding division with a hands-on approach. Focusing on consistent process improvement, reducing downtime, and employee safety/housekeeping.
- The candidate will manage the extrusion operation team and ensure they can operate all equipment assigned per operational procedures and parameter settings.
- Candidate must be able to work with maintenance to troubleshoot issues.
- The applicant must maintain a safe and clean work environment and be strongly motivated to keep everything neat and organized. They will also be responsible for training new employees to become Material Handlers, Extrusion Helpers, and Operators.
- This candidate will report to the Vice President regarding the equipment, scheduling, production, training, and safety.
