Piehole Wood Fired Pizza is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Expo. The Expo plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of food from the kitchen to the guests, contributing to the overall efficiency of our dining experience. Responsibilities:
- Plate Presentation:
- Ensure that each dish leaving the kitchen meets our quality and presentation standards.
- Verify accuracy of each order before it is sent out to the dining area.
- Coordination with Kitchen Staff:
- Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of food orders.
- Organize and prioritize tickets to maintain an efficient workflow in the kitchen.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct final quality checks on all dishes to ensure they meet established standards.
- Address any issues or discrepancies with kitchen staff to maintain consistency.
- Timing and Pacing:
- Monitor the timing of orders to ensure that food is delivered to the guests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with servers and other staff to coordinate the pacing of the overall dining experience.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication with kitchen and serving staff.
- Relay important information regarding special requests, allergies, or modifications to ensure accurate execution.
- Organization of Expo Station:
- Keep the expo station clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an expo or in a similar role in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes to guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
